RE: Midnight Sun Edit

I'm not sure there's anything I can do to the page to fix those blank spots in the box. The box is a template and as far as I can tell, if I removed that from the template it would remove it on all the book pages. If Midnight Sun was out it would be filled. Maybe CJ can fix it -- he doesn't even answer me when I ask him things, so good luck with that, lol -- or maybe MS can fix it. The "delete" template does not actually delete anythng; it is just a tag used to propose a page for deletion, and it applies to the whole page. It's up to an admin to actually delete the page, or remove the tag.

Should you want to experiment, you may: 1) use the Sandbox (since the page has some instructions to the user, be sure to revert any saved changes to it, when you're done); 2) if it is a complex job, spanning many decisions and days of work, create either a blog or a page and mark it for deletion when you're done. If it's a page (not the best option, but there might be a reason for using a page), make sure to mark it as a work in progress and that you will signal when you're ready to have it removed.

A suggestion, TT; when you deal with "Midnight Sun" place the category between "Twilight" and whatever other book category comes afterwards.

One of the jobs I did during the reorganization of categories was to rearrange them in some sort of order - book categories are last and in internal chronological order; Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Bree Tanner and Breaking Dawn. No real reason why book categories should come last, but it should be obvious why the chronological order.

I think when he came back under MS, he gave a semi-vague reason -- one that I can't remember entirely -- of needing a break. But I could be entirely wrong. Sorry, it slipped my mind to ask her about giving you rollback rights. It goes with getting old, lol. To answer your questions, no, it won't show up in the recent activity page and yes, it will count as you doing an edit. It does show up in the "Recent changes" page, though. A little tip when reverting, if you are reverting an edit by a user and they make a mistake, and they had made a good edit before that one, if you revert it takes away everything. Let me explain it better:

• I make three good edits back to back, with good spelling, picture alignment, grammar, etc.
• Then I make another edit -- still consecutively -- in which I add a couple of sentences that aren't needed.
• You decide those are unneeded, and revert the last edit. Revert will take away that edit and all the good edits I had made consecutively. Essentially going all the way back to the edit by a different user.

Alright, let me try again, lol. On the character Santiago's history you see a bunch of edits by CJ. Forget the edit by the user Twilight-something and when I reverted it, say CJ's edit was the very last one done on the page. You can see he made a bunch of edits. If for some reason, say that the least edit he screwed the page up somehow (you know the one where it get's glitchy with {C's) and you wanted to revert it. Well, since he made the 20 or so consecutive edits, when you go to revert the last edit he did, it will revert every single edit he did, taking it back to the July edit done by Ngebendi.

So, revert will basically take the edit back all the way to the previous different user. When a mistake is made by a user that needs reverting, don't revert if they made the previous edit too -- just fix it or use undo. I hope that makes sense now. And regarding edit count, maybe it doesn't count as an edit. I always thought it did. LuckyTimothy 17:37, September 10, 2012 (UTC)

My test was the prior edit, where I reverted the real edit I had just made. Then I undid my test. If you're that worried about the badges, you'll have to ask someone from Wikia. My test was to check the contributions edit count, I don't know exactly how the badges work though I've always assumed every edit is counted the same. Yeah, in that screenshot it would only revert my edit and no option to revert TT if needed be. If you wanted to fix TT's edit if needed, you'd have to just manually edit it. The only time it will fix multiple edits in a a row is if you revert an edit by a consecutive user, but like I said it will take away everything they did in multiple edits. It's tricky sometimes. Thank you! :) Regarding the comments, there was some kind of log overload that fucked everything up so the Staff had to manually rename my account. I had to copy and paste everything from my user and talk pages onto my new user and talk pages, so it's not just your computer.
