Categories Edit

The reason many characters are not in the Vegetarian category is that this is a "parent category" of others that they are already included under. For example, if you go to Category:Cullen family, you will see that it is categorized under Category:Vegetarian vampires. This means that any character with the "Cullen family" category is already included as a "Vegetarian vampire" (since all of the Cullens are vegetarians), even though that category is not included at the bottom of their article. Pages should only have the most specific categories that apply to them, not every single one. If you want to know more about categories, you can read Wikipedia's article about them since we are following those guidelines for the most part. Specifically note the line, "Pages are not placed directly into every possible category, only into the most specific one in any branch." Yeah I admit I went a little crazy with categorizing myself, but deleting them and writing them again just to get the badges. At least when I did it I put thought in it and really try to make the wiki better categorizes. Bad bad Godking... Zeypher 07:51, July 16, 2010 (UTC)
