Heh, hey there. I wish I could help you out, but really there is no official age group that the books are "supposed" to be read by. The youngest age that I tend to hear about most often is 12, but it really depends on the person, and in your case the decision must be made by your parents. What I would suggest is trying to convince your mom to read Twilight herself, so she can see what it's really like and then decide based on that. Good luck!
