Heads up on the Breaking Dawn DVD releases

For those who didn't know, the extended edition Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and the regular version of Breaking Dawn - Part 2 will be sold on the the same day, March 2nd, 2013. It's a bit of a bummer that they're being sold separately, but I just found out something via Walmart.com.

Walmart will be selling an exclusive combo pack of both the exteded edition of BD-1 and BD-2 for only $22.96 (with the digital and UltraViolet copies, of course). The separate DVDs are both $14.96, so this Walmart exclusive is saving money. I didn't take any interest in purchasing the extended edition of BD-1, but now I think I should. I'm getting BD-2 at midnight at Walmart, anyway; the extended edition of BD-1 can't be a bad thing to get, especially since other retail stores aren't doing this as of the moment.

Then she had a personal tragedy which she does not discuss much and since that time she has worked on her career but other things in her life are more important. For her, she has been focusing on kids, especially those who are terminally ill. Her favorite thing to do which she does at least once a week is go to a children’s hospital and sit and meet with kids and they watch some of her most famous movies. The movies that still make kids scream with delight when she comes visit them. She has tried to get her castmates to come with her because the kids would even love it more but they always say no or they will come some other time. There is one castmate who invariably comes. Apparently there is nothing quite like the smile of a kid who is suffering from cancer when this B list all movie actor walks in the room and sits down and watches the movies with them. If smiles could heal, there would be no sick people when he comes along to visit with our actress

Well, okay, yeah, Thanksgiving just happened. But Christmas (as well as other holidays) is approaching.

But besides the holidays, I would like to know how you guys have been. Really. I've only talked to, like... two of you? Yeah. I know. I suck. And I don't feel like messaging about 10 of you at once. Too much effort. >.<

Recently, I've been investing a lot of my time into obsessing over Taylor. I mean, yeah, I do that, anyway, but recently he's been the only thing that can keep me sane. I don't watch videos of him on a daily basis (because who has time for that?) but I've been trying to recently. I've also been really, really into fanfiction. With the Saga just ending (and I swear I remember thinking, "Haha, it's gonna be SUCH a long time until it's over!" back in 2009 which felt like yesterday) I really can't cry about this anymore. I can't cry about a series ending but I can elaborate on the content of it. Yeah, it hurts and yeah, it's gonna hurt for a long time, but I can't have tears interrupting me these days. Fanfiction has really taken my mind away from things, both Twilight-wise and personal life-wise.

And that's it for my little self-revelating blog. How have things been, and how do you feel about the end of the Twilight Saga?

So today I saw Breaking Dawn - Part 2 in theaters for the second time, and I have to say I loved it even more than I did the first time. It was offbeat, but it was paced, but it wasn't paced, and it was kind of confusing, but I loved it. I really did. It's only my second favorite because New Moon is my utter heart and soul, but I didn't find BD-2 that bad at all.

Right now, though, I just feel... drained. And numb. I've invested so much of my time into the Twilight Saga? What am I supposed to do now? I can't get into another fandom. At least not this soon. Sigh.

But I am a changed Twihard. There's no need to be a bitch about anything anymore, and FINALLY I realize that I bitch a lot. Too much for my own good. I want to make a change now, with myself. Bitching isn't going to keep me together in this withdrawal period. Ever since the 15th, life has been a blur for me. It kinda sucks. Okay, no. Life really sucks right now. I don't know how to cope. But I know that bitching isn't going to solve the problem. Now I can just hope for the best. You feel me?

It's not like many of you care, but I'm sick of the constant bitching from users and anons about imprinting, vampire biology, Bella's traits, etc. It seems like people have nothing better to do than take the actual time to talk loads of crap on a Wiki about the things that they don't like. I don't get it. I can't even with these people. It's so pathetic. We're this close to the last movie - this close for the thing you seem to hate the most to end - and all that's on this Wiki is bitching. The Recent Activity boards are full of this crap, and quite frankly, it's killing my mood. Call me selfish, but it is. This crap shouldn't even be going on here. Create a Twilight hate Wiki, start a blog, I don't care. This is all just stupid and immature.

So, I'm going to take a little break. I could never leave for a long time; I love this place too much to do that. I'll just be a little more absent until the release of BD-2. I'll check my messages and maybe even chat, but I think that'll be it. So really, this isn't a bold move for me, but it's something.

For those that don't annoy me to bits, let me know if something happens. Text me, PM me via fanfiction.net, whatever. (I just won't be using Twitter or Tumblr; too many spoilers. :P)

I know Halloween is pretty much over for the year, but happy Halloween!

I feel good today. I dressed up as the girl from the Sun Drop commercial, the people at school were a freaking RIOT when they saw my costume, I watched Abduction with my friend, took my younger brother trick-or-treating, didn't get much candy myself, FINALLY concluding a fanfic I've been working on for over a year, and had a blast overall.

But I'm glad it's over.

As I flip my BD-1 calendar to November, VOILA! Bella is on the month of November, sadly, but this month is going to rock. BD-2 promo everywhere, man. (Btw, Taylor Lautner is going to be on the Jay Leno show tonight!!) I'm so damn excited. Let's do this shit.

So, the other day, my dad went up to me and asked, "Would you really like to go to the Twilight marathon?"

I was like, "Uh, yes," and my dad is actually letting me go. He says it's so he doesn't have to get me anything for my birthday. I'm cool with that. I'm getting tickets this Friday, and I am so damn excited.

I called up my friend and she was super pumped. Still is. The thing is, though, she's on Team Edward, so this is a test of our friendship, looool.

I'm uber excited to have a blast, win some trivia contests (I'm a fucking pro at that, lol), and melt my brain with like thirteen hours of Twilight. Also, it's going to be the best birthday present ever. A day of Twilight and my birthday the next day, man. Ahhhh.

So I logged on to Twitter, looked at someone's account, and voila. A scan from a recent article of the Breaking Dawn - Part 2 soundtrack listing. Keep in mind that the soundtrack will be out on November 13, 2012. I AM SO PUMPED FOR THAT WEEK IN NOVEMBER, OK.

The band that goes by the name of "POP ETC" has me wondering....
I've heard part of the Iko track, "Heart of Stone." It's sweet.
Nikki Reed and her husband have a song on the soundtrack. Cue the Robsteners' cries. OMG WHAT IF IT PLAYS DURING A SEX SCENE THO. :O Robsteners have the hugest beef with Nikki, it's unbelievable.
Ew ew ew, Christina Perri and her lame music are back. Gross. Her songs bore me to tears. She should just record music for people with sleeping problems. They'll be solved in no time.
Oh, and I was reminded that Carter Burwell composed the score. ... -____- "Plus Que Ma Prope Vie" is the thing in Renesmee's locket. It means "more than my own life" or something like that. It's been a pattern that the song at the end of the soundtracks is always one of the main themes from the score. This is probably Renesmee's theme. It had better be good, because that's all you're gonna hear in the movie.

Other than the suckish things, I'm excited for this soundtrack.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 to be rated PG-13.

Well, obviously.

But, it has been rated PG-13 due to "sequences of violence including disturbing images, some sensuality and partial nudity."

So, here's what you can expect:

Lots of violence (hence the trailer).
Probably really freaky shit about immortal children, like in the one scene in BD-1 where Edward was doing "immortalicum" research on the Internet.
Weird crap with Vasilii.
Vamp sensuality, like kissing and crap like that (because if they were going to show Bella and Edward full-on having sex like in BD-1 it would have said "some sexuality" as opposed to sensuality).
Vamp partial nudity. Brace yourselves for Edward's bare back once again.

There's only about 40something days left. We can be strong.

Also, online tickets from Fandango are on sale! After only three days, the BD-2 online ticket sales have already smashed the BD-1 sales. How many of you guys got your tickets for the 10pm (yes 10pm!) showing, or even the all-day marathon, already? I have tickets for the 10pm premiere, and they're hanging on my wall like a painting. I can't wait.

New Breaking Dawn Part 2 info (stills included)!

It's been a magical day in Twilightland. Bill Condon and MTV are finally giving us something. Well, more than just one thing, but yeah. We now have some info on the movie and soundtrack, and some new stills as well.

Here's what we know so far:

The soundtrack has been "firmed up."
Christina Perri (singer of "A Thousand Years" from the BD-1 soundtrack) has hinted that she may return for the Part 2 soundtrack.
The official run time of the film is one hour and fifty-six minutes long. It's one minute shorter than the last film, and the shortest one yet.
"The biggest and most fun [day of shooting], just because of the surprise they pulled off, we went to the top, top, top as far as you can get in this arena to get the widest shot of the [battle]field with the Volturi on one side and the Cullen group on the other and on the last take suddenly you hear the Eurythmics and they all start to do this intimately choreographed dance that they'd worked out. It was a huge day and the biggest party ever." NUFF SAID. Also, it's possible that it will make the DVD.

I'm excited for the sountrack, I'd rather that bland old Christina Perri not be on the soundtrack, the movie sounds too short for my liking (because, erhm, it's the most important one), and the dance is going to slay my life.

I've been a bit distant simply because I'm out of town. I'm in the south - Alabama, to be exact - visiting family. Now, I haven't been in the south in years, but that was just Texas. The deep south is a different story. A few things I've discovered here:

Humid is the key word for the weather. Floridians, I feel your pain. I'm inhaling water.
Tropical Storm Isaac is coming, oh crap.
Southern hospitality is NOT an exaggeration. People. Are. SO. Nice. Dammit, why can't there be such thing as northern hospitality?! I mean, no one in WA asks, "How are you, sweetie?" and shakes your hand, pmsl. It's nice.
Sweet tea is sweeter than anything I've ever tasted, omg.

Small flights are scary.
In-flight movies suck. No, Zac Efron, I do not have the time for your tears.
Male flight attendants do exist.
It is hot as hell.
Everything is cheaper, hyfr.
My mother is reading Fifty Shades of Crap, help. I had to sit next to her on the first plane ride and I could see in the two pages that I saw that Ana is an awkward trainwreck. Once I saw the word "nipple" I stopped and just sat there considering my life. I... I can't.
Southern hospitality, ok.

I took two flights, and on the first one I read some of Breaking Dawn, book three.

LAWD, I underestimated that book.

Yes, too much Cullens, but damn, I was enjoying it. Once Irina sees Renesmee, things kick into gear and they get intense - fast.

The "confrontation" was great, tbh. Long, but still good. Half the time I was sitting there yelling, "WERK THAT SHIELD, BELLA!! WERK IT! AND PROTECT THE WOLVES, DAMMIT."

You see, I only read book three of Breaking Dawn once and that was like three summers ago. So this experience was totally new to me.

I'm almost done (twenty pages left, I think), and I have to say that I didn't give this book a chance. I mean, it sucks, but it doesn't suck that much. I took note on every lame crack from Garrett and every interesting thing with Eleazar.

My parents are wondering why I'm on my laptop so much. I might catch up later.

Kristen Stewart gets the lead role in "Lie Down In Darkness"

It was recently reported that Kristen Stewart has gotten the lead role in the movie Lie Down In Darkness, the movie adaptation of a book from the '50s (no, I don't think she slept with the director for this). From what I know of the plot, it looks like the main character, Peyton, ends up killing herself. Yup, Kristen gets to portray that. So for the rest of 2012/2013 for Kris, it looks like we've got Lie Down In Darkness, On The Road, Cali, and Breaking Dawn - Part 2, of course. There's no word on a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman. Oop.

I'm actually excited for LDID, too, though. I should read the book.

I remember how last summer I was losing my shit at the fact that there was just a third of a year left until BD-1. I'm much more calm about it this year, haha. I know a lot of Twihards are sad, but I really don't feel the need to be sad about the Saga ending right now. Sure, I'll be bawling my eyes out at 3am on the 17th of November after seeing the movie at midnight, but right now, I'm fine. Why should I be sad? Comic-Con just happened, new promos came out, a trillion GORGEOUS portraits of Taylor at Comic-Con came out (view them here), and the new cast members are absolutely amazing. (Rami Malek and Angela Sarafyan need to get MARRIED, they are so fricking cute; Guri Weinberg and Noel Fisher are legends; Maggie Grace and Mia Maestro are wifeys.) I'm more excited than anything right now. I'll save my tears for later.

I'd say I'm most excited for the wolves and the new vampires. (On the way to the store earlier, I saw a hobo that looked like Garrett and got a little excited.) You can't go wrong with those. I just can't wait to see shit being blown up.

First band announced for the Breaking Dawn - Part 2 soundtrack!

I think I'm in love with Passion Pit, who has been first announced as a band for the Breaking Dawn - Part 2 soundtrack. They have such an interesting sound, very laidback and cool. I know some Twihards will be butthurt about an electropop (omfg the word "pop" was used! GASP!!) group being on the soundtrack, but they're also very indie pop, and pop doesn't sound that bad on Twilight, anyway. It's just a genre, and Twilight is very pop-ish on its own. Besides, "It Will Rain" was used for the BD-1 soundtrack and it fit in just fine. The BD-1 soundtrack was more fun and pop in general.

I'm hoping that the song Passion Pit records will be a bit twinkly, like Cider Sky's "Northern Lights."

Okay, so Perez Hilton spilled some spoiler alerts from Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Well, they were really spilled from Bill Condon's partner, Jack Morrissey. Here are some of the scenes that made the cut:

- Part 2 starts with Bella running thru the forest or when she wakes up and doing a backflip off the table. (Welp.)

- The part where Charlie visits the Cullens and realizes Renesmee is Edward and Bella’s child. (Fuck yeah.)

- Bella learns that Jacob creepily imprinted on Renesmee. Both Jacob and Seth are in it and a fight takes place! (Aw shit, bro.)

Twilight fan struck and killed by a car at Comic-Con

Hashtag-RIPTwiFanG is currently trending on Twitter due to the death of Gisella G., and Twilight fan struck and killed by a car today outside of the San Diego Comic-Con convention center, when she was crossing the street to Hall H. She was unconscious from the moment she was hit until she was at the hospital. She bled a lot, and died of head trauma in the hospital. The incident took place at Fifth and Harbor, and the police received a call at 9:20am. Her Twitter username was@Mad4Hugh.

I'd planned on composing a review for Kristen Stewart's new movie Snow White and the Huntsman a month ago, when I first saw the movie, but I held it off. Now, after seeing it for a second time, I'll write a review.

Plot (spoiler alert)Edit

The plot of Snow White and the Huntsman was intriguing, and not like the fairytale Snow White and the Seven Dwarves or even the other Snow White movie that was released this year, Lily Collins' Mirror Mirror. SWATH was a lot darker than both films, and I loved it. The plot in a nutshell (and in my own words) is: Snow White's mother has a baby; Snow's mother dies; Snow's father (who is the king) finds a new wife; Ravenna (Charlize Theron) is a power-hungry, beauty-hungry bitch who kills the king on the night of their wedding; she locks Snow in a tower for what seems like a really long time; Snow becomes of age to be the fairest of them all; Ravenna sends her little bitch/brother to go kill Snow; he tries yet fails and Snow gets away; Snow runs and runs; she jumps off a cliff (for the second time); more running ensues; she later ends up in the scary-ass Dark Forest and nearly gets her ass handed to her; she falls asleep ('cause she's used to being abandoned in the woods *cough*); more stuff happens; Eric the huntsman comes into play; dwarves come into play; a dwarf dies later; Ravenna gradually becomes bitchier; William, Snow's childhood friend, comes into play; SNOW KISSES WILLIAM; then she takes an apple and bites into it; AND THEN SHE DIES. SHE FRICKING DIES; but, oh shit, that's not really William, it's actually Ravenna; oh shit, Snow's still dead; William kisses her but, shit, it doesn't work; Snow continues to be dead; the hunstman's crying about something; he kisses Snow; she fucking wakes up and is ready to kick Ravenna's bitchy ass; she's the life of the pep rally as she gives her people a pep talk and is like, "This fucking sucks, we're gonna take back our kingdom. I'd rather die again than be part of this crap. WHO'S WITH ME?!!?"; everyone's like, "HELL YEAH, FUCKING RIGHT!!"; Snow, the Huntsman, William, and co. ride horses and half of them are taken out by Ravenna's army; more ass-kicking ensues; Snow fights Ravenna and is losing - horribly; she later kills Ravenna but she doesn't look happy that she did that because she's a princess and princesses tend to feel bad for somebody, all time; she is declared the queen and she is most definitely the fairest of them all; all hail the queen!

Also, as much as it may seem, the movie really isn't about Snow White. It's really about the queen, Ravenna. Snow White is a princess, but she really doesn't know how to lead. She just wants good things for her people. She's a little clueless, but in the end she is still strong, and I like that. And, this movie is not a passionate movie, as it's not supposed to be. The kisses are sweet and nice.

The movie is good the entire way through, but it starts to get HOLYCRAPWHATSGONNAHAPPENIMABOUTTOPISSMYPANTS-good after she kisses William. Ah, the last half hour or so of the movie is awesome. And I love this monologue that Kristen has when she's giving her people that pep talk after she is alive again:

"Iron will melt, but it will writhe inside of itself! All these years, all I've known is darkness. But I have never seen a brighter light than when my eyes just opened. And I know that light burns in all of you! Those embers must turn to flame. Iron into sword! I will become your weapon! Forged with a fierce fire that I know is in your hearts! For I have seen what she sees, I know what she knows. I can kill her. And I'd rather die today than live another day of this death! And who will ride with me? Who will be my brother?"

Seriously, she's like yelling at them and it's fucking awesome to watch. #TeamSnow5ever.

CinematographyEdit

This movie is a perfect example of how to make a good movie, visually. The cinematography was AWESOME. It was scary when it was really dark, but when you get to the lighter parts, it's fucking gorgeous. Absolutely perfect. When Snow, the huntsman, and the dwarves were in the enchanted forest (or whatever the hell it's called), it was so magically and beautiful and amlfkajfaflkjfj, even the second time around.

Also perfect. You guys may or may not be as passionate about music as me, but it was fucking great. Snow's theme is absolutely beautiful. I'm gonna marry this film's music. It reminds me a lot of the score of the 2010 film Alice In Wonderland. It's enchanting. Very well done.

ActingEdit

SWATH gave Kristen Stewart a lot to prove. She has proven that she can act, or she's at least improved from Twilight. The reason why nobody thinks she can act is because those people have only seen her in Twilight, and for a long time, those were the only movies of hers that went to theaters. Kristen's best acting are in her indie movies that never go to theaters, and nobody gives her a chance because nobody gives her indie movies a chance. SWATH is the first movie of Kristen's that's not Twilight to go to a lot of theaters in a long time. The last one was probably Adventureland. It's exciting to see a movie of Kristen's that's not Twilight go into theaters because, come on - we're all sick of seeing her as Bella. Kristen's performance as Bella is weak only because the scripts suck ass, but mainly, Bella sucks ass, too. Kristen isn't given a lot to work with. She's a good actress, but nobody can tell with Twilight because Bella's such a poor character. Those who haven't seen her other films would think that she's a beginner and has zero acting chops whatsoever, which is not the case; Kristen has been in more movies than the number of years old she is. When you're only twenty-two and have a good amount of films on your belt, that's something. Now we have SWATH, which proves to more people that she can act. And, of course, there are still the people that are unconvinced. Kristen must be doing something right if she keeps landing all these roles, ya know? When you compare SWATH to Twilight and Adventureland, she has improved a lot. Apart from Kristen's performance, the other ones were good, too. The lovely Chris Hemsworth (aka Thor) was a drunken, sloppy mess of a huntsman - it was great. And then there's Charlize Theron, who was brilliant. She was crying and screaming and shit. It was awesome. Can we please hand her an award? The dwarves were also enjoyable. There was really no performance that bombed this movie. It was a little uneven, but still enjoyable.

OverallEdit

Overall, the film is pretty damn good. A little slow in the middle, yet fun and thrilling overall. It's less jokey than Mirror Mirror, and a lot better, too. By the looks of it, Mirror Mirror looks like crap.

From an A+ to F scale, I give Snow White and the Huntsman a B, because it was a pretty good movie, in my opinion. Very well made.

DVD?Edit

Turns out, the DVD release date is September 7, 2012. The movie's probably not in theaters that much anymore (the last time I saw it, which was on Friday, there were only about seven people in the theater in all), but the DVD and Blu-ray release date isn't that far. Watch it! Or watch it online or something! It's good.

And guess what?Edit

A sequel to SWATH is currently planned. I'm not sure what they could do, since the queen is already dead, but I'd watch it. The director, Rupert Sanders, is in talks to return. Hell yeah!

New Mexico woman arrested for overdue Twilight book.

"(AP) ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - A New Mexico woman was arrested and spent a night in jail for not returning the book 'Twilight' and two-DVD set 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' back to the library on time.

The Albuquerque Journal reports Lori Teel was arrested and handcuffed at her Portales home in front of her five small children earlier this month for the $36 worth of library materials not returned since 2010.

Her attorney says arrest warrants were mailed last year to an address at which Teel hadn't lived since childhood, but Teal was arrested by officers investigating a disturbance.

Her charges were dismissed."

Hunger Games rant.

I know this seems foul to say something about The Hunger Games here, but I've been thinking about it ever since I woke up this morning.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a young adult dystopian fiction novel, from 2009 or something.

As I'm reading it for the second time, I realize that it's really not an enjoyable read. Yes, it's exciting (for part of the time), but it's one of those books that runs solely on plot and action. I usually dislike books that are only fueled by the kicking of asses, but I enjoy The Hunger Games nonetheless.

However, it's really not that much of an good read for me. And it's not even the (slow) plot. It's Suzanne's writing. It really, REALLY bothers me how everybody says, "It's better than Twilight! It's better than Twilight! It's 1256464164168534874864987745321554581564846 times better than Twilight!"

Um, no, it's not. It's a little similar to (but more different than) Twilight, but I don't find it better. Both plots (of every novel of the series!) in both Twilight and The Hunger Games are slow. Both have flaky, bitchy narrators (though Katniss has a reason to be a bit hard). Both have a Jacob figure (the person that you'd ordinarily be with, and the person that's perfect for you - aka the Betty) and an Edward figure (the new, and probably not nice, person in your life that doesn't know you as much as the other person ~~and is most likely, if not always, less attractive than the other person yet you end up with them, anyway~~ - aka the Veronica).

It's just that The Hunger Games gets you thinking. It gets you thinking on society in this dystopian world. It has you thinking, What the hell has this world come to?! I'm not sure what Twilight has people thinking about, but it's not that. Twilight is the ultimate guilty pleasure. Twilight has a world that many of its fans want to live in, want to be completely engulfed in. Not a lot of people really want to live in the shitty, controlled environment that is the country of Panem in The Hunger Games.

Aside from the (weird) similarities, both series are very different, so there's no reason to put them up against each other and make people choose which one to love, but I'm not seeing how the immensly overrated and immensly overexposed Hunger Games is all that much better than Twilight. To me, it's really not. Stephenie Meyer abuses purple prose in her writing, whereas Suzanne Collins is just basic. Very, very, VERY basic. It's not fun to read - at all. It's just, "Then I do this, and then I do this, ooh a memory from District 12, but then I get back to this, and I kill this, and oh shit Cato's a beast." No humor, no style, no voice, nothin'. It may be fun for her to write, but it's not that fun to read. If Katniss is going to be stranded in the woods for 40% of the book, can we at least have an interesting look inside her head? She has to be more interesting than that. It's a long book, when it really shouldn't be, just like Twilight. And it doesn't get good until at least halfway through, just like Twilight. It's just that The Hunger Games runs on ass-kicking and Twilight runs on eye-candy and romance. Two completely different things for two completely different series. They have quite a few similarities, but never enough to make them comparable, and they're only similar character-wise. I mean, there are like no events that makes them comparable. NOTHING. Neither is better than the other, in my opinion. They're just equally overexposed, only The Hunger Games is far more overrated, because the critics give Twilight the praise it deserves, which isn't a lot.
