I just recently started and finished the Twilight book saga, and the unfinished book.
Before starting, all I knew of the series was I had learned from stereotypes, bad reviews, and impressions from the few people I know who had read it. In addition, being a guy, I was a bit skeptical when I began the endeavor, predicting a distaste for the series.
However, I could not have been more wrong. When I started the first book, the characters grew on me. As the story continued, it became addicting, and I wanted to know more and more. I finished the whole series within a month of starting, enjoying every moment of the experience. I enjoyed getting to know the characters, getting lost in the atmosphere of it all, and feeling every sort of emotion from fear, anger, joy, and love.
These books have entered into the realm of my favorite stories and will hold a permanent place on my shelf for the rest of my life.
All I have to say is I am so sorry for any pre-conceived notions I had for the series. I learned not to judge a book, literally, by its cover; and I feel that I am a better man for it.
I am looking forward to beginning the movie series next…
