Official Rules for Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Giveaway Contest.

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

2. Promotion Description.

Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Giveaway Contest (the “Promotion") is a sweepstakes promotion where individuals who create an account and leave a comment on the blog (note: you must be logged in to leave a comment) will be eligible to be randomly selected from all eligible entries. Accounts and blog entries completed from 12:01 on February 26, 2013 to 23:59 on March 22, 2013 (the “Promotion Period”) will be eligible to win one (1) prize pack.

One (1) grand prize winner will win the following:

3. How To Enter. You will automatically be entered into the Promotion by creating an account and leaving a comment on the Promotion page. The authorized Wikia account holder will be deemed to be the entrant. Only Entries received within the Promotion Period will be accepted.

4. Eligibility. In order to be eligible, entrants must be 18 years of age or older and must live in USA or Canada. Entrants under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence must obtain a parent’s or legal guardian’s consent before participating, and by participating represent that they have done so. Entries are limited to individual consumers only; commercial enterprises and business entities are not eligible. Directors, officers, employees, contractors and agents of Wikia, its subsidiaries, affiliates, resellers, or advertising or promotional agencies and members of their immediate families (defined as children, parents, siblings or spouses) are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. To participate, entrants must: 1) have a computer, 2) have Internet access; and 3) submit an Entry.

5. Identity of Entrants; Limitations on Entries. The authorized Wikia account holder will be deemed to be the entrant for Entries via leaving a comment posting on the blog page. The authorized account holder of the email address used on the free email entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the address. Potential winners may be required to show proof that they are the authorized account holder or the entrant. The use of any automated launching or entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that permits the entrant to automatically enter repeatedly or in excess of one entry per person is prohibited. Mechanically generated entries will be discarded and may result in total and permanent disqualification from the Promotion.

6. How You Win. The winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about March 1, 2013 from among all eligible Entries received. Each entrant’s chances of winning are dependent upon the number of Entries received. Wikia’s decisions are final in all matters related to the Promotion.

7. Notification. Wikia will attempt to notify winners by email and/or by post at the address provided within approximately three (3) days following selection of each winner. Wikia is not responsible for any delay or failure to receive notification for any reason, including inactive email account(s), technical difficulties associated therewith, or winner’s failure to adequately monitor any email account or physical address. The winner must then respond to Wikia within forty-eight (48) hours. Should the winner fail to respond to Wikia or be disqualified, Wikia reserves the right to select a new, replacement winner. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. Individuals may request the name of the winners by submitting a self-addressed, stamped envelope before April 15, 2013 to: 500 3rd Street, Suite 405, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. By participating, you agree to Wikia’s inclusion of your name, and the city or town and country of your residence on such list if you are a winner.

8. Affidavit; Publicity Release. Each winner (and their legal guardians, if winner are minors) may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, liability waiver and publicity release that will allow Wikia to use the winner’s name, photography, likeness, voice, prize information, and biographical information for publicity and promotional purposes without further compensation where permitted by law. By entering the Promotion or accepting any prize, each entrant consents to use of his or her name, likeness and any statements, quotes or testimonials for publicity, advertising and other promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

9. Taxes. All taxes associated with the receipt or use of the prizes is the sole responsibility of each winner. Wikia reserves the right to withhold any taxes as required by applicable law. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions (including for cash) are permitted, but Wikia reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value to the prizes if for any reason any prize cannot be awarded as contemplated in these Rules.

10. Conditions of Participation. By submitting an Entry for this Promotion, you agree to abide by these Rules, the terms and conditions of Wikia, and any decision Wikia makes regarding this Promotion. Wikia reserves the right to disqualify from the Promotion, and any future contest or other promotion conducted by Wikia, and to take such other action as may be appropriate, any entrant or winner who, in Wikia’s reasonable suspicion, tampers with Wikia’s web site, the entry process, intentionally submits mechanical entries, violates these Rules, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.

Wikia Book Club: The Hobbit

Breaking Dawn Part 2 World Premiere

Hey Twilight Saga fans!! I bet you're all super excited because WE'RE FINALLY GOING TO SEE Breaking Dawn - Part 2!! I know waiting is super hard, so feast your eyes on pictures from Monday's premiere in L.A.!

How great do our stars look?? For the fashion lovers out there, Kristen Stewart was in a Zuhair Murad dress, Ashley Greene was in Donna Karan Atelier, Nikki Reed in Versace, Elizabeth Reaser in a Carolina Herrera number, and Dakota Fanning was in an Elie Saab dress.

The premiere looked like a lot of fun with almost all of the main cast there, and even Stephenie Meyer showed up! For more pictures of the premiere, check out the slideshow (Kristen and Rob, AHHH!! Also, Dakota is now brunette!):

Sadly, we've reached the end of our Breaking Dawn Book Club but we had a great discussion last night on the Twilight Saga Wiki for the last chapters of Stephenie Meyer's book! We went over some discussion topics which you can check out here, and there were some great and savvy insights being raised by all who participated.

Gcheung28: Can't believe we reached the end of Breaking Dawn aahh! So when you were reading, when Alice and Jasper disappeared, what were your initial thoughts? Did you believe that they were gone forever? What were some other possibilities for them going away? Would it have been possible for them to stay with the family and still protect them? How—and what impact could that have had on the ending? At first I was like oh no Alice what are you doing!? But then I realized later that she had a plan all along haha

Savannah Star: If they hadn't left, they probably would've lost the "trial" with the Volturi, imho.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I kind of did think they would leave forever.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: I honestly knew they were up to something. Alice would never, and I mean never will leave her family. She loves them. I mean, she has been waiting for them for so long to just...you know, go.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: They seem like the kind to move around.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: But Alice loves that family too much, to just leave.

Savannah Star: ^

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Oh, yeah.

Gcheung28: Haha it seems like you @TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt and @JasperandDamonhottestvamps have opposite opinions. Jasper is part of the family but I still get the feeling that he's super aloof

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Haha! Yeah, me too.

Gcheung28: Like he would definitely choose Alice over anyone else

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Totally, yes.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Oh, totally.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: I think Jasper just joined the family to just be with Alice.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I really like how he's so not completely for everything. I like that aloofness. Agreed!

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Alice was the one excited about it.

Gcheung28: Do you think he would have been able to convince Alice to leave though? for their own protection or something?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Yes, totally.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Yes. Even worse, with that changing emotions power. He would totally do it.

Gcheung28: Oh man, that would be so bad though! That would be betraying her trust I think

Savannah Star: Yeah, it kind of would.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: I agree. But Jasper would do anything to protect his Alice. Even if it meant doing that.

Gcheung28: How do you think things would work out if, say, they did end up staying with the family or leaving for good? In the first scenario, if they stayed, do you think things would have ended differently with the Volturi?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Yes, I agreed.

Savannah Star: Yes.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Yes.

Gcheung28: @Savannah Star what do you think would have happened? @JasperandDamonhottestvamps feel free to give your own input too!

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: If they didn't have brought Nahuel, everyone will be dead meat.

Savannah Star: ^ Exactly my thoughts.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: The Volturi's don't give second chances, ever.

Gcheung28: But Bella had that shielding power which totally blocked Jane and Alec, so maybe the Cullens wouldn't have that hard of a fight?

Savannah Star: But once Bella is taken out of the picture, everyone would be doomed.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Bella's shield saved everybody, omg.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Is not even fair.

Gcheung28: @Savannah Star true haha. @JasperandDamonhottestvamps what's not fair?

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: That Bella has the ONLY power that can save them.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Really. Eleazar and Kate should have gotten more credit.

Gcheung28: That is an interesting point, but then again doesn't everything usually work out for Bella haha. Oh, I love Kate!

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Benjamin should have gotten A LOT more credit.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: If it weren't for Eleazar identifying her power and Kate teaching Bella how to project it, then Bella wouldn't have been able to save anybody.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: He has one of the most powerful power in the universe.

Gcheung28: @TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt that's a good point

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: And I love Kate, too!

Gcheung28: @JasperandDamonhottestvamps Benjamin is awesome!

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Oh yeah, Benjamin's hot stuff.

Gcheung28: I think his power is honestly the coolest. because precognition and empathy and all those other powers are cool but controlling the elements is so out of this world!

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Amun thinks he owns him, though. Ugh.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Plus, it doesn't even work on Bella's powers. Which I think is awesome.

Gcheung28: exactly! he's the one person that could beat Bella haha

Savannah Star: Or whatever the hell he wants.

Gcheung28: So going back to Bella's powers, did you find her talent surprising or not, given Bella’s ability to shield her mind while still human?

Savannah Star: I wasn't surprised.

Gcheung28: Not even at how powerful her ability was?

Savannah Star: Not even.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Her talent is the one we all expected:The best one that would save the world.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I knew she was going to get this special thing.

Gcheung28: haha Was it surprising then that Renesmee had mind powers too? Given that Edward and Bella both had those abilities. Her ability to project images is pretty cool I think

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Not surprising to me, but I thought the fact that she's an anti-shield was a little surprising.

Gcheung28: Why? Why were you surprised I mean

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Because I thought she was going to get this crazy-amazing power

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: I was actually surprised that Reneesme was even born.

Gcheung28: Maybe her powers will grow?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Then again, she's still really special because she is the one exception to Bella's power.

Gcheung28: @JasperandDamonhottestvamps why is that?

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: I really didn't believe Bella and Edward would ACTUALLY have a daughter. I mean they get everything, and I think a daughter is too much.

Gcheung28: have a daughter or just a child in general?

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: And making Jacob imprint on her I think was making Jacob's final ending a little too pushy. A child.

Gcheung28: Would you have wanted something else for Jacob?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: YES.

Gcheung28: Hahaha what would have been the perfect ending Stephanie Meyer should have written for him?

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: I really don't know, but one that is nice and doesn't actually have to include Bella or something.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I don't think he could have gotten a PERFECT ending, since Bella really messed up his life, but something better would have been him leaving or something.

Savannah Star: He should have left Forks and found love in someone else.

Gcheung28: interesting! Well back to Renesmee, until her arrival, we never saw talents passed from one generation to the next. If Alice and Jasper were able to have a child, what might their baby’s special talent be? How about Esmee and Carlisle? Rosalie and Emmett?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I think it'd be strange if he found love so soon. Oh Jesus.

Savannah Star: Oh my God.

Gcheung28: Hahaha

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Alice and Jasper would just have perfect babies, that's it.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Alice and Jasper's kid would have destroyed the world, and Rosalie and Emmett's would have done nothing, but it would have been so attractive.

Gcheung28: Hahaha why would he/she destroy the world? They would be too powerfull you mean?

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: I think they would. I mean, Jasper AND Alice have powers. Rosalie and Emmet don't.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Yes, much too powerful.

Gcheung28: but Rosalie has pretty good self control like Carlisle

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: So the baby of Rosalie would have self-control. And Jasper has HORRIBLE self-control so the baby would be a ripper.

Gcheung28: haha I think Rosalie and Emmett's kid would probably be pretty good looking too. Poor Jasper

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Jasper is such a under-estimated character.

Gcheung28: I am assuming you are a Jasper fan going by your user name lol

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Yes, totally and entirely!

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Jasper's history is my favorite of the Olympic Covens' histories.

Gcheung28: oh really? I really liked it too: but I think I liked Alice's the most

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Jasper has such a complex story full of grief, loss, and sadness.

Gcheung28: Rosalie's and Esme's were sad

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Rosalie's was very sad.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Alice's was on point, man. I liked Esme's and Rosalie's, though.

Gcheung28: Esme is a very sweet character but I feel as though she's such a minor character in the novel

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: And that what made me mad, I mean Rosalie ALWAYS wanted a child, and Bella had one. Is like, why couldn't Rosalie get her happy ending with child?

Gcheung28: true!

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Bella never wanted a child, anyway. Rosalie deserved one.

Gcheung28: I was kind of nervous though, when she was doting on Renesmee so much. I got the feeling that she still didn't care about Bella that much. She just wanted the baby

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Me too. Because Rosalie wants her baby so bad.

Gcheung28: But then again Renesmee kind of enthralled everyone! She even got the wolf pack to fight for her (both of them)

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Very quickly for such a child.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Renesmee's a life ruiner.

Gcheung28: Was it surprising for you when Sam's pack decided to fight with the Olympic coven? @TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt because she enthralls people?

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: I think Stephenie Meyer just wanted everyone to fight for Bella and Edward and for that child. No matter the cost.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Yes, and she's the fixer-baby.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Anyone can die, except Bella and Edward and Reneesme.

Gcheung28: That's a good point. Were you surprised about the end then? Because the scene in the meadow looked to be headed toward a fight-to-the-finish war between the Cullens and the Volturi. What do you like/dislike about the final showdown between the united vampire clans and the Volturis? Were the Volturis defeated or did they just make a tactical retreat, which means they might still be a threat?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I wasn't exactly surprised. Bella didn't want to die, so nobody died.

Gcheung28: I was kind of surprised by the lack of really any fighting though

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: The Volturi's are an unstoppable force. I always think of that. There was no fighting, really.

Gcheung28: @JasperandDamonhottestvamps unstoppable except when it comes to Bella haha

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Exactly.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I was hoping for a fight. I mean, all those vampires and wolves. Something would have happened.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Hint that she is a: Mary Sue.

Gcheung28: I feel as though it was really anticlimatic. I wanted something!

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: The little rage fest between Kate and Tanya after seeing Irina get killed was something, though.

Gcheung28: Yea, a part of me was hoping Kate would attack and start something haha

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Irina shouldn't have been the only one who died.

How do these literary allusions affect your understanding or enjoyment of The Twilight Saga? Has Meyer inspired you to read (or reread) any of the texts she mentions? Does her series remind you of any other stories?

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Not really, no.

Savannah Star: Why, yes. I LOVE Shakespeare, so.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Only Lord of The Rings has influenced me. It made me love fantasy.

Savannah Star: To me, NM screamed Romeo and Juliet.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: When I first read BD, I wasn't even 12 years old. I didn't get it back then.

Gcheung28: So understanding the allusions made you like it more?

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: I think not, for me.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: Honestly, I like Twilight because of some characters that I find interesting. Not really of the main conflict or such.

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: I mean, I love Angela more than Bella. Angela is so....interesting in her way,lol. And Jessica even worse,lol.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: There are so many more likable characters than Bella, imo.

Gcheung28: i think it's kind of interesting in terms of NM to think of Edward as Romeo and Bella as Juliet. Then Jacob would be Paris right?

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: I haven't really seen or read Romeo and Juliet,lol.

Gcheung28: but then again, Shakespeare's Paris isn't really likable, but Jacob is so great haha

JasperandDamonhottestvamps: A werewolf is mostly a person who turns into a wolf in a full moon, I think.

Gcheung28: Personally, I think the werewolves we hear about in the book and that we think about seem so vicious when compared to the Wolf Pack. the Quileutes are very much in control of their actions

Gcheung28: do you think the movie will end any differently? we already know there is going to be some kind of fight scene which we don't see in the book

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: It's gonna drive me nuts, I just know it, but I really want it to, like, set up for something new. I don't even know. Just something that's not the book ending.

We read Chapter 17-28 of Breaking Dawn and went over some discussion topics which you can check out here. Gcheung28: What did you think about Jacob's decision to bring Charlie to the Cullens after Bella's transformation? What about when he phased in front of him? Should Jacob have done things differently?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I LOVED that part, oh my gosh.

Gcheung28: I really thought that Charlie needed to know!

Savannah Star: Same.

Gcheung28: I was so sad that he was being kept in the dark about the whole thing

Savannah Star: He was in the dark for the majority of the series.

Gcheung28: because he thought Bella was just really sick the whole time she was pregnant

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: And I thought bringing Charlie to the Cullens' place was a good idea because he was so out of the loop. I mean, according to the Cullens, the last time he saw Bella, she was sick.

Gcheung28: Yup! And the Cullens also gave him a fake number right?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Jake phasing in front of Charlie was unnecessary, though. It only told him, like, half of the entire truth. I think so.

Gcheung28: So he literally was given nothing and had no idea if his daughter was alright

Savannah Star: Exactly.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Yes, exactly.

Gcheung28: I can only imagine his reaction at seeing Jacob phase haha

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: And when he was given something, he basically had a heart attack.

LavendaBrunette: I don't see the point in putting the Jacob transforming for Charlie scene in now that Jacob's already imprinted (in the film).

Gcheung28: I think Bella would have just told Jacob that Charlie needed to wait but then that would have maybe ended up in him never knowing until hes on his death bed or something lol

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Oh god, and I was sitting here complaining that Charlie knows nothing!Renee is so out of it.

Gcheung28: Sooooo in the dark lol

LavendaBrunette: It's probably better that way.

Savannah Star: All she knows is that Bella and Edward are happily married. That's it.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Then again, it's best for Bella's parents to not know anything.

Gcheung28: Do you think the book would have been any different if Renee got involved as a concerned parent?

LavendaBrunette: But Charlie is a COP. You'd think he'd do investigating.

Gcheung28: She's a very minor character the entire time: That is true haha But he is also a cop in a small town where nothing really happens. So maybe his investigating skills were rusty

Savannah Star: ^ True.

Gcheung28: The Cullens are also really good at covering their tracks So we talked about this a little the last time but, as a father, it must have been painful for Charlie to suddenly find out about all the secrets Bella had been keeping from him. Do you think she should have tried to be honest with him from the start? Why or why not? Did you find Charlie’s reaction to Bella’s transformation credible? I think we said last time and this time that she should have been honest

Savannah Star: Yes, she should've been honest. Honesty is the best policy, after all.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I think she should have been honest until things got supernatural.

Gcheung28: until?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I think lying for good instead of evil is the way to go.

Savannah Star: ^ Yes.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: She couldn't have told Charlie way back at the beginning that she was dating a vampire.

Gcheung28:That is true haha

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: For one thing, Charlie wouldn't have believed her.

Gcheung28: Probably would have gotten sent to the insane asylum or something!

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Yes, exactly!

Savannah Star: Telling your dad you're dating a vampire probably won't go over well. Js.

Gcheung28: But then when she was pregnant and it seemed like the chances of her surviving were so low, I feel like she probably should have said something around that time

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I think she only lied for Charlie's own good.

Gcheung28: It would have been so terrible (not like it would have happened) if she had died and Charlie only found out after the fact!

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: If she called Charlie and was like, "...Uh, Dad, I'm pregnant and I might die," that'd be scary. Oh, yeah.

LavendaBrunette: But don't forget that the Volturi could kill him if he knows.

Savannah Star: ^

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I remember when Jake was thinking about how well the Cullens could have faked a plane crash or a car accident. Oh yeeeeeeaaah.

LavendaBrunette: I think Bella should have been less obvious about what was going on.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Agreed.

LavendaBrunette: That way he wouldn't have suspected a thing.

Savannah Star: If she'd told him from the start, Charlie's options are/were: Become a vampire, or die.

Gcheung28: So then what did you think of his actual reaction after seeing Bella as a vampire? I mean he knew that something was off with her and Renesmee, but he just took it like a champ haha

Savannah Star: Lol, yeah.

Gcheung28: It didn't seem very realistic at all!

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Saaaaame.

Savannah Star: He didn't seem all that freaked out.

Gcheung28: Or maybe did you think that was fine because Charlie just seems like an accepting person?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: If I were him and saw her 10 times paler, 20 times prettier, and looking like a statue, I'd still be convinced that she was sick.

LavendaBrunette: Charlie is *not* accepting, though. He never accepted Edward.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Charlie never seemed accepting before; he never accepted Edward to begin with.

Gcheung28: That's true but he kind of accepted him for Bella

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Oh yeah. He accepted her long depression and even slept on the couch for months.

Gcheung28: VampiresAndWerewolfsareAwesomeAsHell23 mentioned in a comment: Yes, but no at the same time, I think Charlie knew from the first day he meet Edward

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: But he'd still be concerned, in Breaking Dawn. And also because of the fact that Renesmee looks like a kid that Bella and Edward would have, because she is.

Gcheung28: In terms of whether or not Charlie's reaction was credible. It just seemed weird how he brushed it off so quickly

Savannah Star: He didn't know Edward was a vampire, but he probably knew something was different about him.

Gcheung28: Yea

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Charlie used to like the Cullens since the kids never got into trouble and Carlisle was good; I think it was just the fact that Bella was dating one (as opposed to Mike or Jacob or anyone else).

Gcheung28: So typical protective father haha

Savannah Star: Add that to the fact that in NM Edward left Bella depressed for months, Dee.

Gcheung28: It was also interesting how quickly he fell in love with Renesmee

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Haha, right. Exactly, Sav. It was. If I were him and saw this strange child that looked like Bella and Edward I'd be so freaked out.

LavendaBrunette: Ugh, Mary Sue, Jr. strikes again.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: It's like he's selectively accepting. Lololol.

Savannah Star: EVERYONE seemed to love Renesmee.

Gcheung28: Maybe that's the immortal child thing coming into play, even though she's technically not a turned child. Hahah @LavendaBrunette did you not like that?

LavendaBrunette: I despise Renesmee.

So, Meyer suggests that Jacob imprinted on Nessie even before she was born (possibly before she was even conceived), which might explain why the bond between Jacob and Bella has always been so strong. Do you find this explanation satisfying? Does this mean that the choice Bella made between Edward and Jacob was unnecessary on some level because Jacob’s love for her wasn’t “real?”

Savannah Star: For one thing, you can't imprint on someone who isn't even born yet.

Savannah Star: You don't go, "I hate you" to "I love you" within a snap of your fingers.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: And I totally find Jake's love for Bella real. He loved her. He just did. He accepted her, even as messed up as she was, and he never, EVER gave up.

Gcheung28: So then do you not agree that the choice Bella made between Edward and Jacob was unnecessary on some level because Jacob’s love for her wasn’t “real?”

Nobody's born an athlete or born a musician; you have to work at it.

Gcheung28: Well, going back to Jacob really quick, and kind of the whole love triangle: Before we found out about Jacob's imprint, were you Team Edward or Team Jacob? Did those feelings change after reading about the imprint? I was also Team Jacob, but I was kind of happy that he didn't end up with Bella she just seemed like not the right person to be with jacob especially with all the pain she put him through!

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Well, I think my name and things to say make my team clear. ;D

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: But my feelings for Jacob didn't change after he imprinted. I was just pissed at Stephenie Meyer for giving him a crap ending.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Jake is the only character in the Saga to me that goes through change. He's one of the only relatable characters, and he's just likeable. You *want* to root for him, since he's such a good person. I want to give him a hug when he's in pain, because I can empathize with him. I totally get his motives. I get all of it. I've never come across a fictional character so relateable. And the Twilight Saga is a grotto of unrelatable fuckery. Jacob is the light that shines through it all, because he actually changes, he fights for what he wants, and he loses. I always like the losers in series, because they always seem to be the ones who tried their hardest. Edward didn't do a damn thing but be pretty. Jacob worked his ass off for Bella, and it didn't work, but he gave everything. Everything. Jacob is just.... well, Jacob. I can't *not* love him.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Oh, and one last thing: he's not perfect. That is why I love him so much. I never got Team Switzerland; is it both or neither? And thank you. I take my Team Jacobness very seriously, lol.

Gcheung28: It just means she can't choose i think. So it's just a state of indecision haha. Do you think that being Team Switzerland is understandable? Or would you just say Team Jacob hands down lol

Hello again, Twilight Saga fans! To celebrate the fact that Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 is coming out in theaters in a little over a month, we are reading and discussing the fourth book in The Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn for Wikia Book Club!

Read Chapter 29 (“Defection”) through Chapter 39 (“The Happily Ever After”). Discussion topics to include:

When Alice and Jasper disappeared, what were your initial thoughts? Did you believe that they were gone forever? What were some other possibilities for them going away? Would it have been possible for them to stay with the family and still protect them? How—and what impact could that have had on the ending?
During the final conflict with the Volturi, Bella exhibits incredible supernatural ability. Did you find this talent surprising or not, given Bella’s ability to shield her mind while still human?
Since New Moon, we have all believed that Jacob and others in the Quiletes tribe were werewolves. However, in the field Edward refers to them as shape-shifters. Why did Edward use that term? What are the main differences between werewolves and shape-shifters? Why is this distinction important?
The scene in the meadow looked to be headed toward a fight-to-the-finish war between the Cullens and the Volturi. Possible Twilight TV Show

With the popular Twilight Saga about to end for us on the big screen, there's been news that a new take on the popular vampire and werewolf movie series is in development, and one idea circulating is a TV show!

This is us right now:

According to Moviehole.net, potential avenues for keeping the franchise alive include a “TV show or film spin-off, merely set in the same world as the one in the movies but not featuring the main trio.”

With our favorite trio Bella, Edward and Jacob out of the picture, “one area of interest” for the project to focus on is the Wolf Pack!! How cool would that be?!

Last night, we had a great discussion on the Twilight Saga Wiki for our Wikia Book Club! We read the first 16 chapters of Breaking Dawn and went over some discussion topics which you can check out here. Gcheung28: So in the first part of the book that we read for today, how did you guys feel when we found out Bella was pregnant!

Gcheung28: Would you put yourself in Rosalie’s camp, which fought to keep the baby, or do you identify more with Edward and Carlisle, who wished to terminate the pregnancy? Did your thoughts on this change at all as the pregnancy progressed?

Lily!: i mean i died when i saw them in new moon.... they are just so awesome. oh um TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I felt like it was awkward. I mean... vampires shouldn't be able to get anyway pregnant, lol.

Lily!: i agree with dee

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: And on the second question, I'd say I'm in Edward and Carlisle's place. It just didn't make sense to me to keep it. It was so... strange.

LavendaBrunette: Bella was brave, but also stupid. 2 weeks before she got pregnant she was completely meh about kids, and then she's suddenly so fiercely protective of one? And it seemed like she only loved the kid because it was Edward's baby.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I mean, she said she hadn't minded not having kids at all. I agree with Kelly. Or, Lavenda.

Gcheung28: But if she loved Edward so much, wouldn't that have changed her mind a bit when he said he didn't want her to have the baby?

Ericmoro: Well... I think it was BECAUSE it was Edward's baby that she loved it so much

LavendaBrunette: I agree, Eric.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: If Bella got pregnant by Jacob (or anyone else, I think) at eighteen, she wouldn't have wanted to keep it that much.

LavendaBrunette: Once again, Bella's only making decisions based on Edward and not herself.

Gcheung28: How about that suggestion Edward made to Jacob then?

Gcheung28: Do you think that was the right thing for him to do?

LavendaBrunette: That was flat-out rude tbh.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Oh my gosh, that part. Agreed with Kel.I mean... Jake's heartbroken; not desperate. That was strange.

Lily!: well yeah

LavendaBrunette: He's kind of teasing Jacob with that suggestion. "Here, have sex with her once so she can have babies and then leave us alone."

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: And it was even stranger of Edward to think that Bella would want that.

Gcheung28: It kind of seemed like, to me, that he was seriously considering it though

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Oh, yeah.

Gcheung28: So going back to Bella and Edward then. In the beginning, Bella chooses romantic love over everything else. Eventually, she chooses to marry at an early age and then chooses to keep an unexpected and dangerous baby. Do you think this makes Bella an anti-feminist character? What would you have done in Bella's place?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I don't enjoy Edward's decisions. Or Bella's. Yes. And I would have probably decided to get rid of the child. It was a danger, man.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I really, really did love his perspective. As angst-ridden as it was, it was like a breath of fresh air. He and Bella are so different.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: It's nice to see the story from different eyes, because Bella is a bit biased and ditzy. I agree, Eric.

LavendaBrunette: Jake is able to give us real perspective. Bella is too biased for us to really see the full picture.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: The actual deal of the treaty, for one thing, since a lot of the stuff Bella hears isn't all of the story.

Kate.moon: that's exactly what i think too

Gcheung28: There isn't a section with Edward's perspective either so do you think that would have added anything to the book if there was? I personally loved Jacob's description of Edward as the burning man, but I would have loved reading about Edward's inner thoughts too

LavendaBrunette: From Bella's POV he's invasive, but in reality, he's really only concerned about his daughter's safety and he is totally in-bounds on an apporopriateness level.

Gcheung28: He is a natural born leader, but do you think leading a pack would make him happy or fulfilled? He doesn't seem that happy to get Seth and Leah on his side either haha

Ericmoro: In his case (i.e. being a werewolf) I think its instinctual to be leading the pack

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: I don't think it was necessary because laws should come first. Jake was so hung up over Bella, it was sickening. But I understood his pain.

Gcheung28: I think one of the worst parts was at the end of chapter 16 when Jacob saw how happy Edward and Bella were

Ericmoro: @Gcheung28, I do think it was necessary for Jacob to accept his birthright in order to protect Bella Both the vamps and the wolves deal in "black & white"

Gcheung28: Refresh my memory on this, but did the treaty just not allow the turning of humans into vampires/killing humans? Because in technical terms, wouldn't having a vampire child not really mean that someone was being turned?

Fusedtwilight: It also said the cullens could not enter the Quileute land and vice versa

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Yes. Having a vampire child would break the treaty either way, because Bella would have died or been turned.

Gcheung28: Ah true, good catch on that! So when Jacob left the pack, were you surprised that other shifters joined his "renegade pack"? Not that surprised about Seth since he became friends with Edward, but Leah?

Fusedtwilight: But the Quielutes already gave permission for her to be turned. They were just afraid because no one knew what Nessie was going to be I kind of figured Leah would, it was a good chance for her to get away from sam and she had to look after Seth

LavendaBrunette: I'm not surprised about Leah—she wanted to protect her brother.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Oh, I wasn't surprised. Seth looks up to Jake and Leah wanted to protect Seth.

Gcheung28: Do you think Embry and Quil shoul have joined their best friend though?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Yes!

Fusedtwilight: Quil couldn't because of his imprint to Claire and Sam wouldn't let Embry anywhere near Jake

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Oh my gosh, I totally think so. Quil could have still been there, though, whether he imprinted or not.

Gcheung28: But if Seth and Leah were able to break free to join their new Alpha, Embry should have been able to too right?

Fusedtwilight: Sam may have ordered him to stay when he realized Leah and Seth left

Ericmoro: maybe age has something to do with it? easier for the younger ones to switch sides?

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: Embry did also grow less close to Jake, I think. Or it was Quil. I forgot.

TeamTaycobSoDealWithIt: And I don't think age had to do with it, because Leah's about as old as Sam.

Fusedtwilight: I don't think. Quil didn't want to risk not being able to see Claire, he did want to join Jake. And Jake figured Sam was keeping Embry in La Push so he couldn't join Jake because he sent Collin....or was it brady? With Jared to speak with Jake

Gcheung28: Hmm, but then again Leah really wanted to get away from Sam though! Well, interesting stuff to chew on!

Gcheung28: Getting back to the baby what do you think of the name Bella chose? Do you like it or do you wish that the baby was given a different name? Why?

Fusedtwilight: I don't know why people hate the name so much, it is a bit odd sure but not so bad.

Read Chapter 17 (“What Do I Look Like? The Wizard of Oz? You Need A Brain? You Need A Heart? Go Ahead. Take Mine. Take Everything I Have.”) through Chapter 28 (“The Future”). Discussion topics to include:

What did you think about Jacob's decision to bring Charlie to the Cullens after Bella's transformation? What about when he phased in front of him? Should Jacob have done things differently?
As a father, it must have been painful for Charlie to suddenly find out about all the secrets Bella had been keeping from him. Do you think she should have tried to be honest with him from the start? Why or why not? Did you find Charlie’s reaction to Bella’s transformation credible?
Before we found out about Jacob's imprint, were you Team Edward or Team Jacob? Did those feelings change after reading about the imprint?
Meyer suggests that Jacob imprinted on Nessie even before she was born (possibly before she was even conceived), which might explain why the bond between Jacob and Bella has always been so strong. Do you find this explanation satisfying? Does this mean that the choice Bella made between Edward and Jacob was unnecessary on some level because Jacob’s love for her wasn’t “real?”
Throughout the series, the vampires have displayed a wide variety of special talents. However, until Renesmee’s arrival, we never saw talents passed from one generation to the next. If Alice and Jasper were able to have a child, what might their baby’s special talent be? How about Esmee and Carlisle? Rosalie and Emmett?
Renesmee’s talent allows her to communicate in a very unique way. Breaking Dawn presents innocent uses of her talent. However, do you think her talent will mature as she does? For example, do you think she could someday be able to manipulate images to show people what she wants them to see? How could this give the Cullens an advantage if the Volturi were to reappear?
When Irina ran away after seeing Jacob, did you expect her to betray the Cullens? Do you think she made her decision more from the pain of losing Laurent to a shifter or from losing her mother to the Volturi?

Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 in IMAX

Hold onto your seats, Twilight fans, because we just found out that Breaking Dawn – Part 2 will be released in IMAX in the U.K. and various other countries!!!

Great news for international fans, but for U.S. fans, there are sadly no plans at this time for an IMAX release in the U.S., according to a Lionsgate spokesperson.

Twilight Meets Gossip Girl For New Show

Remember Catherine Hardwick, the director of the first Twilight movie? She's coming back with a new show!

Hardwicke is going to serve as executive consultant for a new show called Copeland High, which will be a drama about a private high school so competitive that it turns its students into actual monsters. Gossip Girl executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are going to co-executive produce along with Brett Easton Ellis (American Psycho), who’ll also write the pilot.

TV Line says, "Take Season 1-era Blair Waldorf on her worst day and cross her with a chupacabra, and you’ve got a sense of what the creative minds behind Gossip Girl and Twilight have in store for The CW."

Sounds interesting, right? Thoughts?
