Not sure how many people are planning on attending Comic-Con this year, but if you are you might like to know, per Summit Entertainment, that:

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN - PART 1 is the first scheduled Comic-Con panel on Thursday, July 21!

Summit recommends camping out Wednesday to guarantee seats inside of Hall H.

The Comments section could be a good place for fellow Wikians to coordinate and meet up!

Breaking Dawn Trailer at the MTV Movie Awards

Looks like Vampires and Werewolves may be playing nice for a change!

MTV today announced that at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are confirmed to present viewers with the very first look at footage from Breaking Dawn. But courtesy of MTV and Summit Entertainment, we're going to offer you an even earlier look!

The Bill Condon directed film flies into theaters on November 18 and of course is based on the first half of Stephanie Meyer's book Breaking Dawn. The awards this year will be hosted by Jason Sudeikis, and will broadcast LIVE from on Sunday, June 5 at 9p.m./8p.m.C.

The Twilight Saga stars will join a cadre of previously announced presenters including Chelsea Handler, Mila Kuni, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Steve Carell, Emma Stone, Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Patrick Dempsey, Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel, Jesse Eisenberg, Aziz Ansari, Danny McBride, Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy

If you recall, Twilight Saga franchise has had some success in past years. Twilight and New Moon each received five popcorn statues at the 2009 and 2010 “MTV Movie Awards. Apparently fans voted rabidly this year to ensure The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was included in the 2011 list of final nominated films and the passion paid off- the movie us up for seven nominations in four categories as previously reported.

Twilight Graphic Novel Vol 2 announced

With the success of the Twilight Graphic Novel Volume 1, the publisher Little Brown just announced Volume 2 in the Twilight Graphic Novel series!

The book will be released on October 11th. Read details in the press release:

Yen Press, the graphic novel imprint of Hachette Book Group, announced that it will publish the eagerly-awaited second volume in the graphic novel adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight on October 11, 2011. Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volume 2 will be released as an e-book and in hardcover for $19.99 ($22.99 CAN) with a first printing of 350,000 copies.

A visually arresting retelling of the story that has captured the hearts and minds of countless fans, Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volume 2 contains selected text from Meyer’s original novel with illustrations by the talented Korean artist Young Kim. Kim’s unique artistic style which combines Asian and Western comic techniques are showcased in this black-and-white graphic novel with color interspersed throughout. Meyer consulted throughout the artistic process and had input on every panel.

Is The Hunger Games the next Twilight?

Remember when Kristen Stewart first graced the cover of Entertainment Weekly for The Twilight Saga? The June 2011 issue of EW will feature none other than Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss from The Hunger Games which is about to start filming in North Carolina.

It's no secret that the Twilight Saga is coming to a close with Breaking Dawn and there's been lots of chatter that “The Hunger Games is the next "Twilight.” Are there any similarities between the two series?

While the worlds of the stories are clearly very different, both series of books do feature a female protagonist who finds herself in a sort of love-triangle. Bella Swan is ultimately forced to choose between her ex-lover Edward Cullen and deep friendship with Jacob Black. And Katniss Everdeen faces a similar predicament between heart-throb Peeta Mallek and her best friend from home, Gale.

Could this similarity between the two best-selling book franchises lie be the secret to their universal appeal? Or do you think it's something other than conflicted love that lies at the heart of the success of these two franchises. Let us know!

America naming their babies after Vampires

The newest trend in baby names is no longer naming your children after celebrities, but rather naming them after the vampires played by celebrities.

The movie Twilight is not only influencing a nation obsessed with vampires, it is also the inspiration for many baby names this year, according to the federal Social Security agency. Nationwide, Jacob is top choice for a boys name while Bella tops the charts nationally for the most popular girls name. Jacob and Isabella (Bella) are the names of the main characters in the Twlight series, played by Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart, respectively.

According to federal agency reports, the second fastest riser on the boys’ list is Kellan, the name of actor Kellan Lutz, who portrays Emmett Cullen in the Twilight movie series.

In my opinion, if America is going to be naming their children after famous movie characters, I certainly prefer Jacob and Isabella to Harry or Hermione.... what say you Twilighters?

New Breaking Dawn Trailer

A new Breaking Dawn trailer has been released for the upcoming film in the Twilight series. Well, sort of. Yes it's fan made, but I wouldn't be bringing it to your attention if I didn't think it was worthwhile- it's highly professional, includes recently released stills from the film, and the music is, well, to die for.

The debut of the first official Breaking Dawn trailer is expected to be during the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in June, but it is also likely to be leaked to the internet before that happens. Even if it isn’t leaked, someone on the East Coast will likely drop a version of it before the West Coast viewers get to see it presented.

So have a look at Bella and Edward and Jacob and let us know your thoughts on how the trailer ranks in the annals of Twilighter fan trailers...

Are you a Vampire or a Wizard?

Get this Twilighters and Muggles- according to a new study, we connect so much with our book friends Edward Cullen and Harry Potter when we read about them that we become wizards and vampires. Psychologically speaking of course.

A study at the University of Buffalo shows that we become submerged enough in the fantasy to satisfy our need for human connection. And we get the same sense of satisfaction and happiness that we’d get if we were actually part of those worlds, said authors Shira Gabriel, an associate professor of psychology, and Ariana Young, a graduate student.

“Social connection is a strong, human need,” Gabriel said in a statement, “and anytime we feel connected to others, we feel good in general, and feel good about our lives. Our study results demonstrate that the assimilation of a narrative allows us to feel close to others in the comfort of our own space and at our own convenience.”

The researchers tested the theory on 140 students who read for 30 minutes from Twilight or Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Then they answered questions that tested their conscious and unconscious responses.

Harry Potter readers identified with wizards and their world and Twilight readers identified with vampires and their world. They also adopted attitudes and behaviors – though, they noted, no one tried to suck blood or fly on a broom!

The study, called Becoming a Vampire Without Being Bitten: The Narrative Collective Assimilation Hypothesis, was published in the current issue journal Psychological Science.

Will Bella and Edward win Best Kiss award?

As previously announced, Twilight Saga stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are among the nominees for the 2011 Best Kiss award at the MTV Movie Awards. It's worth noting that Stewart will be competing against her other kiss entry, with co-star Taylor Lautner- arguably the hottest kiss scene of recent times. Can Pattinson and Stewart kissing in Eclipse pull off a milestone victory for the young couple?

Also up for MTV's 2011 Best Kiss will be Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman in "Black Swan." The steamy scene featured two of the hottest and most talented Hollywood actresses locking lips (dream or no dream, it was hot). Also nominated are Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ellen Page for their kiss scene in Inception as well as Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe for smooching in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.

However, in the past two years, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have ruled the Best Kiss award, capturing it for both Twilight (film) and New Moon. This could be a three-peat for the famous couple, whom MTV and its young audience seem to adore. They're each nominated again in the male and female acting categories, and Eclipse is up for Best Movie award, categories they won in the previous year.

The 2011 MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by Jason Sudeikis on June 5, 2011 from California.

Hi Twilighters, just last week we brought you the new still photos from the set of Breaking Dawn, and now we have the crown jewel.

The latest Breaking Dawn image features Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan wearing an engagement ring in front of Robert Pattinson in the role of Edward Cullen.

The newly released photo gives fans a look at Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson who stand with each other in a loving character pose that reveals Bella's engagement ring. Stewart has her hand on the chest of Pattinson where fans will clearly see the GIANT SPARKLY ROCK that foreshadows the wedding of the two Breaking Dawn leads.

So there you go Twilighters, the engagement ring has been revealed. And now it's time to reveal your thoughts on it- does this ring have a sparkle worthy of Bella?

Twilight vs. Harry Potter at MTV Movie Awards

Twilight Saga and Harry Potter are up against each other once again in more than one category for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.

The two specific films in contention this year are Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Here are the categories where they are up against one another. In one category, Harry Potter is up against two nominations from Twilight:

Best Film:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 (HP7,1) vs. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (T-E).

Best Male Performance:
Daniel Radcliffe (HP7,1) vs. Robert Pattinson (T-E)

Best Female Performance:

The two films also continue to face off at the box office again this year. HP and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will come out in theaters on July 15, 2011. Breaking Dawn: Part 2 is due in theaters on November 18, 2011.

The Harry Potter film franchise ends with this summer's release, but the Twilight series, which began adaptations much later, will end November 16, 2012 when Part 2 of Breaking Dawn is released.

New Breaking Dawn Stills

After all the brewha over the leaked photos, Summit Entertainment has finally released official stills from Breaking Dawn Part 1. As previously discussed, the film is looking to expand its fan base with a more graphic, mature approach and the photos reflect this. Director Bill Condon commented to Entertainment Weekly, "We shot everything -- whether it's the lovemaking or the childbirth -- as potent and powerful as it can be. It will be interesting to see whether there will be people who think it too disturbing for this universe." Well, no stills of the childbirth here (thank goodness), but the sex scenes look to be pretty steamy! Tell us what you think of the new photos!

Based on the recent photos that have popped up of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart re-shooting the honeymoon scene in the Carribean for Breaking Dawn. On closer inspection, according to worstpreviews.com, the photos show that the chance of Kristen showing off her top is quite likely. She is wearing a bikini the same color as the green screen, and that is usually done to remove an item in post-production.

In this case, it is her top that will be removed in editing if the report is correct. Many fans are excited to see how the wedding and honeymoon for Edward Cullen and Bella Swan play out, but they still have a few more months to wait. Twilight: Breaking Dawn won't hit theaters until November.

What do you think of the possibility of Kristen Stewart going topless? Will this cross the line of what is acceptable in a PG-13 rating and cause controversy once the film is released? Or, perhaps more importantly, would this be in line with the film's emphasis on love over sex?

Good News for Robert Pattinson fans

Looks like the Easter Bunny is also a Robert Pattinson fan. His new movie, Water for Elephants, costarring Reese Witherspoon, exceeded box office expectations this past weekend by earning an estimated $17.5 million from 2,817 locations. That's an exceptional take for a adult, art-house drama and critics believe a big reason the film performed was Robert Pattinson- or, in other words, thanks to fans like you!

Fox Searchlight studios paid particular attention to Twilight fans sites in promoting Water for Elephants, allowing reps from sites such as TwilightMOMS assigned places on the red carpet and access to Robert throughout his promotions tour. As Robert begins to take more roles that move him beyond teen heartthrob, will you continue to see his movies? And who saw Water for Elephants? Tell us what you thought of the film and of Robert's performance...

There's been lot's of debate recently about which franchise is better, Harry Potter or Twilight. So here are some facts to help you decide for yourself...

FACT:

FACT:

On the all-time domestic chart, Eclipse and New Moon have outgrossed every Harry Potter (save Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

FACT:

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone made so much money that even when its ticket sales are adjusted for inflation, it's still an all-time box-office king.

FACT:

The most expensive Twilight movie, Eclipse, cost about one-third of the cheapest Harry Potter film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, so you could argue the film that gets more bang for their studio's bucks is... Twilight!

FACT::

Summit suing fans over leaked images

Anybody read about this yet? Summit Films, the studio behind the Twilight franchise, is suing Twitter to make them release the identities of some individuals who posted some stills from the Breaking Dawn films.

An official release stated:

As some of you may know, pictures and screen grabs of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn as a work in progress have leaked on the internet. We are extremely proud of this film and also extremely heartbroken to see it out there at this stage.

The film and these images are not yet ready or in their proper context. They were illegally obtained and their early dissemination is deeply upsetting to the actors, the filmmakers and Summit who are working so hard to bring these movies to fruition to you in November 2011 and November 2012.

Please, for those who are posting, stop. And please, though the temptation is high, don’t view or pass on these images. Wait for the film in its beautiful, finished entirety to thrill you.

I don't know, seems a bit excessive for just posting a few photos...what do you think?

Robert Pattinson photos from his new movie

As I'm sure every Twilight fans knows, Robert Pattinson stars in the movie of the acclaimed book Water For Elephants which comes out this Friday. I for one am definitely going to see it. I found a whole bunch of stills of Robert in the film that show his adoring relationship with both Reese Whitherspoon's character and the elephant. I don't know, if I were Kristen Stewart, I might be feeling a little jealous... What do you think?
