Twilight Screenwriter moving onto Highlander?

There can be only one... or not! It looks like Melissa Rosenberg, the screenwriter that brought us all of the Twilight films and Step Up, might be moving on to a new franchise... According to the Hollywood Reporter Rosenberg might be re-teaming with Summit Entertainment on their reboot of the Highlander franchise!

They are still in the negotiations stage, but she is in consideration because she is "adept at handling both character and action, as well as yearning, a key component of Highlander as protagonist Connor MacLeod watches his true love age while he does not." Her work with the hit Showtime series Dexter was also pointed to as an indication of her capacity.

What do you think twihards? Would you be up for a tweenier version of Highlander?
