Bryce Dallas Howard has been cast to play evil vampire Victoria and stalk Kristen Stewart in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
Victoria was played by Rachelle Lefevre in Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon. According to Summit Entertainment, the actress had a scheduling conflict and would be unable to partake in the Eclipse shoot set to begin later this month. Howard's open schedule, naturally pale skin and reddish locks allow her to easily step in at the last minute.
Howard recently came off working alongside Christian Bale and Sam Worthington in Terminator Salvation. She has previously worked in two M. Night Shyamalan films.
"We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise," commented Erik Feig, Summit's president of worldwide production and acquisitions. "Rachelle brought Victoria to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role."
