Tyler Crowley is a semi-popular boy who goes to school with Bella and is in the same grade as she is.

In Twilight, Tyler nearly kills Bella with his van, but she is saved by Edward. Afterwards, Tyler is desperate to make things up to Bella, and asks her to the spring dance, though she refuses. He then deliberately tells everyone that he and Bella are going to prom together, and shows up at her house to take her. Edward then tells him that Bella will be unavailable as far as anyone but himself is concerned. Bella suggests to Jessica that Tyler should go to the prom with Lauren, and they are seen later in the series as boyfriend and girlfriend.[1]
