Bella and Edward in the meadow
The meadow is an open space in the forest located in Forks. During spring and summer, the place grows beautiful flowers. It can be described as the most beautiful place in Forks. From Bella's house, she and Edward take Highway 101 North and Highway 110 until the pavement ends, and then hike through the woods for about 5 miles to get to the meadow.

Edward takes Bella to the meadow after she finds out he is a vampire. In the novel, this is where Bella sees Edward's body glitter under sunlight for the first time. In the movie a whole sequence is based around the meadow, it shows Bella and Edward lying on the meadow floor without speaking.
== New Moon==
Bella's Dream in New Moon

In New Moon, Bella has a dream of her grandmother (who is really Bella herself) and Edward in the meadow. She later attempts to relocate the meadow in hopes of reliving her memories with Edward after he leaves her in Forks. When she finds it, all the flowers and grass are devastatingly withered. This makes Bella extrmemly upset. She starts to leave when all of sudden, the vampire Laurent appears and attempts to kill her to satisfy his thirst, but the wolves emerge from the trees and chase Laurent into the forest where they kill him. This is where Bella sees the wolves of the Quileute tribe for the first time.
== Eclipse==
Bella and Edward go the meadow one last time after the battle with the Seattle New born Vampire Army. Before they leave Edward says "Let's get out of here let's go to our meadow." Bella happily agrees to this idea. When they arrive althrough it is early June the meadow is already growing beautiful flowers. Edward and Bella then dicuss their wedding. Edward asks Bella why she all of sudden given into the idea. Bella says that she wants to give her family and friends the proper good-bye before she is changed into a vampire. Edward then says "Deal's off!" Bella becomes annoyed asking him if he is backing out from their deal. Edward replies "I'm not backing out, Bella I'll still keep my side of the bargain. But your off the hook. Whatever you want, no strings attached." Bella asks "Why?" Edward says "Bella, I see what you’re doing. You’re trying to make everyone else happy. And I don’t care about anyone else’s feelings. I only need you to be happy. Don’t worry about breaking the news to Alice. I’ll take care of it. I promise she won’t make you feel guilty. Bella tries to interject "But I-" Through Edward quickly silences her "No. We’re doing this your way. Because my way doesn’t work. I call you stubborn, but look at what I’ve done. I’ve clung with such idiotic obstinacy to my idea of what’s best for you, though it’s only hurt you. Hurt you so deeply, time and time again. I don’t trust myself anymore. You can have happiness your way. My way is always wrong So." Edward says "We're doing it your way,Bella. Tonight. Today. The sooner the better. I'll speak to Carlisle. I was thinking that maybe if we gave you enough morphine, it wouldn't be so bad. It's worth a try." Bella again tries to interject "Edward, no-" Edward silences Bella again with a finger to her lips. He says " Don't worry, Bella, love. I still haven't forgotten the rest of your demands." Edward then starts to kiss Bella passionately. Bella at first doesn't resist Edward. Through she quickly comes to her senses. She says to Edward that she wants to do things the right way. Getting married, making love and then becoming a vamprie. Edward reluctanly accepts Bella wishes. Bella and Edward then go to tell Charlie of their engagment. This is the last time the meadow appears in the series.
