Bree's part in the storyEdit

It took me a very long time to figure it out, and it was already obvious.

Eclipse is not mainly about the newborn army going after Bella, it's about what she must face before the vendetta is past her. Bella has to think over her choices before she makes her decision: stay human for Jacob or be a vampire for Edward.

Bree's role is to provide a glimpse of Bella might become if she chooses to be a vampire. Jasper's given her reviews of how he handled newborns, and it was scary to her, but if she caught sight of a real newborn, it would make her think over her choices even more. But, she was already determined to be a vampire, so that didn't do much.

But I believe this was Bree's role all along.
