Sue Clearwater is a human Quileute woman who lives on the La Push reservation. She is the mother of Leah Clearwater and Seth Clearwater,also a widow since the passing of her husband Harry Clearwater. Sue also has a friendship with Billy Black and Charlie Swan.
History
New Moon
During New Moon, her husband, Harry Clearwater, dies of a heart attack due to the shock of his two children turning into werewolves. He passes that spring leaving Sue as a widow, then Sue takes Harry's place as a member of the tribal council.
Breaking Dawn
In Breaking Dawn, Sue was attented Bella and Edward's wedding. Showing with Billy and her son Seth. Later on both Seth and Leah run away to join Jacob Black's renegade pack. According to Jared, Sue was heartbroken, but Jacob knew she was stronger than that. Sue is also mentioned to be spending a lot of time with Charlie Swan, and Bella suspects they've started a relationship. Since Sue is said to be cooking at Charlie's and comes over frequently.
