Shelly is a newborn vampire in the Seattle newborn army. She is one of the only three survivors from the coven's demise, others being her mate Steve, and Fred.

Biography

Shelly was a newborn vampire chosen to be part of the Seattle newborn army and fell in love with another newborn named Steve. When they discovered that the sun couldn't harm vampires, they fled the army together and never looked back. Since they never returned, Victoria didn't bother to hunt them down. The army's second-in-command Riley Biers told the rest that Shelly and Steve were "lost to the sun" as a cover story.

She and Steve are currently living a nomadic lifestyle together.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner

Shelly was mentioned in The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Bree when Diego told her that indirect sunlight doesn't harm them. Bree thought it was impossible and said, "But Shelly and Steve. Doug and Adam. That kid with the bright red hair. All of them. They're gone because they didn't get back in time. Riley saw the ashes."
