Shelly is a newborn vampire from the Seattle newborn army, whom Riley had told the rest of the army was "lost to the sun" along with another newborn vampire, Steve. She and Steve fell in love before discovering that the sun could not harm vampires and fled the army. She and Steve are currently living a nomadic lifestyle.
