Mr. Varner is a fictional character in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series. He is Bella's Trigonometry (math) teacher during her junior year. Bella hates him because of the subject he teaches and because he was the only teacher who made her introduce herself to the class on her first day. During Bella's senior year, he is also her Calculus teacher, who believes that he is doing a good job at teaching, because Bella's grade is going up, in truth, it is because Bella just has a lot of time. He was mentioned again in Eclipse where he lines every student up alphabetically at the graduation while Harold Greene the principal calls every student's name.
