Mr. Brant is an antagonist who appeared in Masque—one of seven segments in the collection of The Storytellers: The New Voices of the Twilight Saga.

He is portrayed by Sal Rendino.

Biography[]

Masque[]

Mr. Brant is a man who lives in the 1920s. He has two daughters, Claire and Julia. The man had led a life of advantages, and with it he became consumed by vanity, pride and cruelty. He takes joy in tearing down people of the lower class.

During a masquerade party orchestrated by him as investment to the local hospital, Mr. Brant openly reveals Claire's relationship with Teddy and mocks him in front of everyone. When Teddy left, Claire ran after him and Mr. Brant follows in tow to stop her. In the garden, an argument ensues between them which soon escalates to violence; Mr. Brant slaps his daughter mercilessly until she passed out. Esme Cullen witnesses the incident and, in a flashback of her previous life with her first husband, saves Claire and attacks the man. She is close to choking him to death when Carlisle appeared and stopped her.

Physical appearance[]

Mr. Brant has a wiry build, with dark hair slowly graying with age, and pale skin of a white male.
