Maggie is a vampire and member of the Irish Coven. She is described as small and not physically imposing with bouncy red curls. Maggie has the gift of knowing when she is lied to, she is firmly trusted by the rest of her coven. She helped witness for the Olympic Coven against the Volturi. Maggie is not a "vegetarian" unlike the Cullens.

Like all vampires, when in sunlight, she sparkles as if thousands of diamonds were embedded to her skin.

Abilities

As a vampire, she has super-speed, super-strength, enhanced senses, immortality, vampire venom, agility and beauty.

Lie sensory

Aside from the talents of a normal vampire, she is also gifted with the ability to detect whether someone is lying to her or not. This becomes very useful when helping the Cullens. Like when the Volturi came for Renesmee and Aro starts to tell her she'll be fine, Maggie knew she was being lied to.

Breaking Dawn

During Breaking Dawn, she arrived with the rest of her coven to see why Carlisle had contacted her. It was then she found out about Renesmee and because of her ability she was able to determine the baby was not an Immortal child. She later stood as a witness for the Cullens to try and save the child. She, like the rest of her Coven, returned to Ireland at the end of the book.

Etymology

Diminutive of the name Margaret. From the Greek word meaning "pearl."
