Forks, Washington, also known as the "Logging capital of the world", is the place Stephenie Meyer picked for where most of the action of the Twilight series takes place. It is in the Olympic Penninsula of Washington and is one of the rainiest places in the United States. It is a small town that doesn't have very many people.
The fictional Chief of Police is Charlie Swan. They do have a high school called Forks High School and several stores. There is a library but it does not have an extensive amount of books. There is also an outdoors store that is run by the Newton family. Bella Swan has a job there also. There is a restaurant known as The Lodge located there and it is a favorite of Charlie Swan. Forks has a hospital where Carlisle Cullen works.
