Corin is a female vampire and a member of the Volturi guard, her first initial appearance was only in the vampire index in the back of Breaking Dawn. Corin was also listed as not being mated. She is one of the nine permanent members of the Volturi guard and wears there darker grey cloak.

When the Volturi first invited her to join them she was already a vampire (leaving her source of transformation unkown). When she became a member of the Volturi it was around the time when Marcus's wife (Didyme) was killed. Aro hoped that she could help Marcus recover to some degree from the loss of his wife. When Marcus refused to accept Corin's gift to ease his pain; Aro found that her gift was more useful to console the Volturi wives.

Corin is then with the Wives the majority of the time; and is also the reason why they never leave the Tower which was briefly said in Breaking Dawn.

Supernatural talent

Corin is gifted with the supernatural talent of producing in other's feelings of content in his or her situation. Her talent can be comparable to that of Didyme's "aura of happyness" although rather then bringing out the positive feelings of happyness and joy. Corin brings out feelings of contentment, of ease in a person in his or her situation. Also there is a drug-like side affect to her gift to those who experiance it often, as they would soon enough will begin to feel un-well and un-easy without it.

Although it is not explained weather this gift is mental or physical however due to the way it works it can be seen as being a more physical gift, working similarly to Jasper Hale's gift of empathy altough working in one feeling or emotion (ease).

Corin's official position in the Volturi guard is to protect the two remaining wives of the Volturi leaders; Athenodora and Sulpicia. Corin however does not actually protect them as physically as they have two masive body guards for this. She protects them instead emotionally using her gift on them often. With Corin the wives are provided with comfort and happiness; despite being virtually locked inside the Tower.
