Casey was a newborn vampire whose name remained unknown throughout the novella: The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. He took on the title of "Spider-Man", a Marvel superhero, and was called so by Bree throughout the rest of the book. She also called him the "Spider-Man kid".

He was specifically created as an addition to Victoria's army.

His name was revealed in The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide.

Biography

History

Casey was suggested to be recruited to the Seattle newborn army by Raoul, who had worked with him when they were humans.

Casey first appeared when he went hunting in the bad neighborhoods of Seattle with Kevin, Bree and Diego. He argued with Kevin about whose superhero figure was best, and climbed the walls to imitate Spider-Man's moves, before Kevin found a prey and fought for it with him. After hunting a few more humans, Casey and Kevin left the mess that Bree and Diego ended up cleaning.

When Riley flew into a rage at the army's reckless behavior (fueled by Diego's death), he attacked several members in the basement, Casey included.

Newborn-battle

The battle between the army and the Cullens.

Seconds before their fight with the Cullens, he was tossed by Riley into another vampire named Sara, and so got into a fight with her that ended with his death.

Physical appearance

Casey was known to have blond hair. His only other feature was his bright red eyes.

Personality

Casey was depicted as a cocky vampire who enjoyed burning his own kind and fighting within the group for sports. This is partly due to his nature as a newborn vampire. He was also easily manipulated.

He used the alias "Spider-Man" because this was his favorite superhero: he would often imitate Spider-Man by climbing on walls, which irritated Bree.

Trivia

Casey's name wasn't revealed until The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide was published, with his name written on his profile. Throughout the book, he was known as the "Spider-Man kid" to Bree, who was narrating the story of The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.
