The Breaking Dawn - Part 1 score was composed by Carter Burwell, the composer of the first film in the series. It was released on December 13, 2011. On January 14, 2011 it was announced that Burwell would be scoring both parts of the final installment.[1] The score of Part 1 was recorded in Abbey Road Studios, London in early September 2011. Alexandre Desplat and Howard Shore, the composers of New Moon and Eclipse respectively, happened to be in London at the time of the recording session and stopped by to visit Burwell. [2]
