Breaking Dawn is the fourth book in the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer. Meyer has stated that it is a working title, and that the title could be different when published. The official release date is August 2, 2008. A chapter from the book can be previewed on Stephenie Meyer's site sometime in May. It will be the last book with Bella's point of view and will also include another point of view, presumably that of Jacob Black.
Series
Breaking Dawn is the fourth installment in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series. The story begins with Twilight, followed by New Moon and then Eclipse. Breaking Dawn, is set to be released August 2, 2008. On Stephenie Meyer's MySpace blog, it has been reported that the rough draft of Breaking Dawn is finished and is now in the process of being edited.
Midnight Sun, is another addition to the series. A rough first chapter was released on Meyer's website preceding New Moon. It will parallel Twilight from the character Edward Cullen's point of view. Meyer says on her website that Midnight Sun will definitely be published. Release date has not been confirmed.
A chapter of Breaking Dawn can be viewed in the special edition of Eclipse, set to be released on 12:01 Saturday, May 31 along with the paperback edition of New Moon.
Characters
The three main characters in Breaking Dawn appear to be Bella Swan, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black. Their stories have been somewhat told in the three previous books.

Cover Art
The cover art for Breaking Dawn was released on May 31st, 2008. The cover went along with the black and red of the previous covers. It's consisted of a chess board with a white queen and a red pawn.
Plot
Author Stephanie Meyer has released the vague detail on a tour in Germany that one of her inspirations for Breaking Dawn was the play A Midsummer Night's Dream. Fansites also continue to spectualate on individual's ideas. The recently released first chapter includes Bella getting a new car, the impending wedding, her parents rather good reactions to her engagement, and Jacob's vague whereabouts.
