Ashley Michelle Greene was born on the February 21, 1987. It was announced on February 19, 2008 that she would play Alice Cullen in the Twilight movie. Author Stephenie Meyer said that Ashley Greene was the actor who came closest to her vision for their character. Meyer said, "I saw a picture of her and just thought, 'You found Alice! Oh my gosh!'"[1]

Greene was born in Jacksonville, Florida and attended Wolfson High School. She has one sibling, a brother named Joe, who resides in Jacksonville with their parents, Joe and Michelle Greene. Greene adores Audrey Hepburn and is the face of Stopstaring.com. She graduated high school early and moved from Jacksonville to Hollywood at the age of 17.

In 2005, Greene appeared on Punk'd, followed by appearances on Crossing Jordan and Desire in 2006 and King of California in 2007. Her big break came in 2008 when she was cast as Alice Cullen in Twilight, after finishing Shark and Otis and appearing in the post-production video of Radio Free Albemuth. She went on to film Summer and Skateland, which will both be released in 2009, and she is confirmed to reprise her role as Alice in New Moon, which has a tentative release date of November 20, 2009.
