Amber is a server at the Italian restaurant in the tourist trap of Port Angeles, Washington. She served Edward and Bella the night after Bella was attacked by several men and nearly raped while going back to her friends after trying to find a suitable bookstore. When Amber takes the order of Bella's mushroom ravioli and Coke, she seems to be paying more attention to Edward, showing that the unnaturally tall, blonde waitress is attracted to him. She is very warm and smiles alot, seemingly to attempt in impressing the bronze haired vampire. In Meyer's draft of Midnight Sun, Amber placed her phone number next to the bill.
Physical Description
In the book, Amber is described as a Caucasian girl in her teens with short black hair. Edward hardly noticed her, implying that she did not smell as enticing as Bella.
Movie Portrayal
In the Twilight film, she is portrayed by Katie Powers. Katie Powers also was Bella's stunt double, and she doubled in the tree scene in the movie. She also doubled some parts of the vampire fight between Edward Cullen and James.
